Either by shuttle bus or NJTransit train. The train takes you to Penn Station. The bus to Port Authority. (They are half a mile apart). You don’t need reservations for either, just follow signs for transportation. It’ll cost you about 15 bucks each way regardless.
From LGA, you can get into the city faster for only $2. That’s why LGA is overcrowded.
